Megan Victoria Seeley and Brett Matthew Levins met at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, where they worked alongside one another as Space Station Robotic Instructors. The rest is history, and not too long after they were engaged at one of their favorite Houston spots: the lovely Japanese Gardens at Hermann Park.
On April 30, 2011 the much anticipated day arrived. Megan grew up in Hawaii, so it was no surprise that she decided on a Hawaiian theme for their Courtyard on St. James Place ceremony. As a special way to honor her deceased relatives, she carried her maternal grandmother’s necklace and her paternal grandmother’s wedding ring in her bouquet.
Instead of a sign-in book, these two lovebirds opted for a sign-in picture frame, which was placed at the front door and surrounded by pictures of the couple’s parents and grandparents on their wedding day. Understandably, family reigns very important for the couple–even the wedding ring has diamonds from Brett’s grandmother.
In true romantic style, Megan and Brett honeymooned in Italy, where they enjoyed visiting historic sites like the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and the Vatican. In addition to this exciting getaway, the newlyweds spent some time exploring Florence and the island of Capri.
