How to select your flowers
“Flowers should express who the bride is,” says Sarah Cain of Sarah’s Florist. “This is the newest trend in color. Lavenders and pinks with shades of purple are on trend for 2012,” she says. As an added bonus, special jewels are added to enhance the stem.
“If sparkle and shine fit the brides’ personality, that’s what we do,” adds Cain. At Sarah’s florist, they focus on determining what’s best for a bride. Items to consider: location, the type of dress, bride’s height, and theme. Most importantly, the bride should be open-minded. “We realize you have dreamt about this day for many, many years,” says Cain. “You have a dream and we want to make it come true.”
Pretty in Purple
This bouquet features roses, freesia, dahlias, and assorted garden flowers. These popular colors are enhanced around the stem with similarly colored jewels.
The Future’s So Bright
This arrangement is for the special, strong-minded bride. These strong colors are created by combining Cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, hydrangeas, gerbera daisies, roses, cockscomb. “A touch of Swarovski Crystal jewels ads pop for the bride,” says Cain. The band featured on the stem can be worn as a bracelet after the wedding.
