Languish your days on Navarre Beach, northwest Florida’s Emerald Coast, and take in the sites at nearby Santa Rosa County.
Nestled in the Emerald Coast of northwest Florida, you’ll find some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Navarre Beach, between Pensacola and Ft. Walton Beach/Destin, is a hidden treasure of sugar-white sand beaches and clear emerald-green waters. Looking for a stunningly beautiful, laid-back place to vacation, honeymoon, or just chill? Sample the charms of Navarre Beach and surrounding Santa Rosa County.
Gulf Blue Vacations is a locally- owned resource for planning an amazing experience in this region. Their 25 years in the business comes in handy for finding beautiful, luxury condos and town homes with picturesque views of the clear gulf waters, which lure you to the area. If you are considering Florida for a destination wedding, consider a beachside, sunset while walking down a rustic, wooden walkway to the beach. Gulf Blue Vacations has experience in destination planning for the wedding as well as provides group rates for accommodations. They have relationships with area wedding vendors and can make your destination wedding an easy and relaxed affair.
The Navarre Beach Fishing Pier is a terrific place to take advantage of the area’s salt-water fishing. Anglers catch pompano, flounder, cobia, king and Spanish mackerel, and more! This is the longest pier on the Gulf of Mexico and one of the most popular locations on Navarre Beach. After fishing, you can grab a hamburger or a ration of delicious Ms. Pat’s legendary mackerel salad right at the pier. Naturally, seafood abounds in the area, and you can enjoy a beach view and a tasty fish dish at the Beach Monkey or a number of other scrumptious eateries nearby.
Juana’s Pagodas Sailors Grill is a great place to have a cocktail or a meal and watch the sun go down. You can even enjoy some fresh and flavorful California-style Mexican cuisine, and you shouldn’t pass-up the mango shrimp at the Cactus Flower Café in nearby Navarre!
Conservation through education is the hallmark of the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station, where high school students teach younger students appreciation, conservation, and understanding of the marine ecosystem of coastal Florida. Along with summer camps and eco-kayak tours, this amazing program also offers a “Hands in-the-Sand” Family Program for the whole family to enjoy.
The sound of the waves and beautiful views at the beach and pier are amazing, but there is much more to see and do in Santa Rosa County. In season, you can walk through clouds of butterflies at the Panhandle Butterfly House. If you feel daring, you can ride a zip line through the treetops of Blackwater State Forest and zip across Coldwater Creek at Adventures Unlimited in Milton. While in Milton, stop in at Old Post Office Antiques & Café. This fully restored 1940’s Post Office is charming, a beautiful setting to shop or to dine.
Take a walk along the boardwalk on the Blackwater River and enjoy this historic old town and the beauty of its scenery. Another must-see boardwalk is at the Zoo in Gulf Breeze. This raised walkway overlooks a free-range preserve, where you can view rhinoceros, zebras, antelopes, wildebeests and Western Lowland Gorillas. This 50-acre zoo also features a beautiful walking path and large petting zoo, along with a Safari Line train.
If you are interested in pristine beaches, crystal clear water and natural beauty with a twist of action and adventure, you will find it at Navarre Beach and surrounding Santa Rosa County.
