Stephanie, a customer service associate for Publicis Touchpoint Solutions and real estate assistant met Lance, a custom homebuilder at Creative Castles, during Stephanie’s going away party. She was headed to Germany for an exchange program. They kept in touch via phone, daily. That was seven years ago. “I knew he was the one a long time ago,” says Stephanie. What’s Old Is New Again Olde Dobbin Station was built in the 1900’s as an oil company pumping station. When the oil company went away, the artesian wells became the community-swimming hole. today, the restored buildings create a vintage-style event facility. Stephanie’s family has been in Montgomery since the 1800’s and Lance’s grandfather worked at Olde Dobbin Station when it was a pumping station. “I really wanted a location that represented Lance and I knew the Olde Dobbin Station was where we had to be wed,” says the bride. “This restored venue is a must see for any Texas bride.” Bavarian Cakery made bridal cake and groom’s cakes that were “out of this world amazing.” elegant Beginnings, inc. provided the linens. “They had such a huge selection it was hard for me to decide, I liked it all,” she recalls fondly.
They honeymooned in Punta Cana, The Dominican republic at the hard rock hotel where they swam with dolphins and sharks, went zip lining, and enjoyed couples massages.
