High Flying Love
Stacy, a corporate accountant and David, a
pilot and custom homebuilder, were high
school sweat hearts and have been inseparable
ever since. Back then, Stacy was captain of the
drill team and David played varsity football.
Eleven years later, David asked for her hand in
David surprised Stacy by taking her on her
first private flight. After a couple of hours of
adventure and fun, they landed for lunch at
a local airport. Stacy thought the adventure
would be ending after lunch; she did not
imagine this was only the beginning. “As he
helped me out of the plane he instantly knelt
down on one knee and asked me to marry
him!” she says enthusiastically.
The beautiful ceremony and reception took
place at Amber Springs in Montgomery,
TX. “We fell in love with the elegance of the
limestone and dark wood throughout. It was
spacious inside for the fun reception and had
a stunning area outside where we could host
our ceremony,” Stacy explains. Stacy made her
way down the aisle in her classy vintage lace
dress with pearls and diamond detailing from
David’s Bridal. During the reception they cut
the delicious four-tier cake with vintage lace
and fondant detailing from Stephanie’s Cakes.
The classic two tier chocolate groom’s cake was
iced and topped with chocolate strawberries
and ganache drizzle. After a memorable day,
they spent their honeymoon at Scottsdale, AZ.
Now, they are preparing for another big day,
their first-born is expected soon!
Take the planning process day by day and keep
an open mind. But most importantly SMILE
and have a great time planning your perfect
day because it will be over before you know it.
