The Perfect Couple
This blissful young couple met by chance at a Memorial Day pool party. For Sergio, it was love at first sight. A little prodding got Schyler to agree to a first date and the rest is history! Soon, this proud Naval recruit and the elementary education major were an item. When Sergio finished his basic training at the Great Lakes Naval Station in Chicago, IL he returned home on leave and could not wait to see Schyler.
The first night, Sergio had a surprise in store for her after dinner. When the time was right, he blindfolded her and led her to a secret location – the park where they shared their first kiss. When she removed the blindfold she recognized where they were and she saw Sergio there in front of her, down on one knee. With tearful eyes and joy in their hearts, they pledged to marry.
The Courtyard at Tuscan Courtyard in Texas City provided an enchanting and rustic backdrop for the exchanging of vows. “As soon as I toured The Tuscan Courtyard, I knew it was the one,” Schyler remembers. As the sun set on the sparkling lake, the dreamy twilight perfectly illuminated the bridal party during the two-ring ceremony. Post vows, the guests moved inside for dinner, dancing and games. One of Schyler’s bridesmaids led everyone in a hysterical bride and groom trivia quiz, posing the question, “Just how much do they really know about each other?”
Dress shopping was a breeze at Ventura’s Bridal Fashions where Schyler found her perfect gown by celeb wedding planner David Tutera. At the wedding, a quick peek under her gown revealed her secret to comfort: tennis shoes! Credit for her flawless locks and make-up go to Mayra at Simple Beauty Artistry. As soon as they tied the knot, the happy newlyweds quickly packed their bags and headed straight to Sergio’s Naval base in Virginia, which begs the question “Does that count for a honeymoon?”
