Love on the Run July 30, 2010
Sandy teaches World Geography in Cy-Fair ISD where she met Tim, a swimming and water polo coach. The Strake Jesuit grad finally got the nerve to ask her to join him on a five-mile run. Sparks flew, the running dates continued, conversations got deeper and they started dating. Both are proud Texas Aggies and Tim pulled off the Aggie coup of a lifetime. He surprised Sandy, a Sugar Land native, when he asked for her hand in marriage under the Century tree.
After a ten-month engagement, their ceremony and reception were held at Tuscany Villa in Katy, TX. The bride wore a Mori Lee gown with a beaded heart shaped top, ruching around the hips, beaded train and lace-up back. To complement the dress, Sandy carried a mix of pink roses, fire and ice roses, white roses and Star Gazers. Bridesmaids were maid of honor Jennifer Wahowski, Karie Yankie-Goodwin, Courtney Castillo, Lauren Ganderson, and Lindsey Ridlehuber. Tim was accompanied by best man Mark Szafran and groomsmen Jeff Storm, Germey Johnson, Dennis Temple, and Tony Polichino. More Than Cakes created a four tier confectionary delight. The cake topper had the crowd talking – the bride was pinching the groom’s rear. To celebrate the union, they spent seven days in Mexico’s Riviera Maya where they swam with dolphins, snorkeled and toured ancient Mayan sites. – LMV
