In a World All Their Own
Tiphany Robin Elderand met Kyle Edward Nesbit April 2, 2012 at luxe lounge and nightclub. Kyle gained the courage to approach Tiphany and strike up a conversation. His smooth introduction led to conversations of faith, church and ministry work, then dancing. Friends later told them that they spent the night slow dancing to upbeat songs – as if they were in their own world. They exchanged phone numbers that night and became inseparable.
History in The Ceremony
Tiphany, a teacher in Cy Fair Isd, and Kyle, the director for Men’s Wearhouse, MW Cleaners and Memories Gown preservation, chose to have their ceremony in the First United Methodist church in Katy. This place has special ties to Tiphany’s family: both her maternal and paternal grandparents joined in the 40’s and have served this church their entire lives. Tiphany’s parents were christened and eventually married here as well.
On December 29, 2012, it was time for Tiphany to walk down the aisle in her Oleg Cassini gown, a satin champagne and ivory halter a-line, worn with an ivory veil adorned to an antique gold and crystal tiara. The intricate champagne embellishments of the veil matched the dress perfectly, creating a stunning and glistening spectacle as she walked down the aisle.
A Romantic Evening – Old Mexico Style
The reception was held at agave real, in Katy. “We fell in love with the beautiful stucco, stone and ‘old Mexico’ style architecture. it was so romantic and sultry which was exactly what we wanted for our evening of celebration,” recalls Tiphany. The agave real boasts a courtyard, gardens, fountains and lagoon pool. Their nighttime event had a candlelight glow with an enormous stone fireplace ablaze.
They chose a red, ivory, silver and black amaretto tiered wedding cake topped with two brooches and a crystallized “n,” a nod to her new last name. The groom’s cake matched Kyle’s favorite style of dress shirt; it was embellished with an elaborate fleur-de-lis studded cross.
The Perfect Honeymoon
After a night of romance and dancing, Kyle and Tiphany were whisked away to their honeymoon at sandals Emerald bay in Great Exuma, Bahamas. They had their own private beach front and 24/7 butler service. When they weren’t exploring, boating and fishing in the beautiful turquoise waters, Kyle and Tiphany enjoyed their first-ever couples’ massage.
“It was absolute heaven and the most romantic vacation imaginable. This also had to do with having the most handsome, adoring husband right by my side! it was a breathtaking experience!” Tiphany gleamed.
“Enjoy the process of being engaged and all the events leading to your precious day; do not allow stress to take over the most extraordinary day of your life. best of luck and happy wedding planning!”
