Jessica, a legal assistant, and Sean, who works in Inventory Management for a shipping supply company, met in High School, but did not date. Sean joined the Army in 2007 and from 2008-2009 was stationed in South Korea. They reconnected via Facebook; Sean was then stationed in Oklahoma, and in 2010 they met when he came home for a long weekend.
They knew they wanted to have an outdoor wedding and did quite a bit of research online searching for the perfect venue. After narrowing down their options, they visited Agave Road and knew instantly. “It was the first venue we visited and within minutes of being on the property we knew there couldn’t be anything more perfect for us,” says Jessica.
She found her Alvina Valenta gown at Weddings by Debbie in Katy. She turned to Edible Designs by Jessie for her cakes. The bridal cake was alternating layers of red velvet and Italian crème cake with cream cheese icing, and the Grooms Cake was pistachio with cream cheese icing and chocolate covered strawberries. The honeymoon was eight glorious days on the island of St. Martin.
JESSICA’S TIPS:
Don’t sweat the small stuff. It’s so easy to get caught up in all the little details, but at the end of the day if something isn’t perfect, the odds are no one will know except you. Enjoy every minute of the planning and preparing for the big day because once it finally arrives, it’s over in the blink of an eye!
