A Fruitful Future
These two plant lovers met at work. Heather worked as an office manager and Joseph was a horticulturist. They met several times at the office, never realizing they would find something more than friendship. One day Heather saw Joe, walking with some plants he was working with. She pointed to one of the flowers and told him she liked the red hibiscus. Later that day when she returned from lunch, she found a large bundle of red hibiscus flowers waiting for her. “When I saw them, I knew who had left them for me,” she says.
Sparks flew and Heather knew he was the one. An engagement soon followed and the planning began. Selecting a location was first in their wedding planning quest. They looked for an indoor venue with a touch of the outdoors. The knot was tied on October 30th, 2010 at Sugar Creek Country Club. “Their many large windows and traditional architectural and decorating styles were the perfect backdrop for the classic wedding look we wanted.” Heather found her beaded sapphire Collection dress at alfred angelo Bridal.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at Walt Disney World Florida in a suite over- looking the African Savannah. “We are both animal lovers, so it was really amazing to wake up with the animals right outside our window each morning,” gushes Heather.
Help From Heather
“I learned that no matter how busy and chaotic the time before the wedding is, once the ceremony and reception begin – it’s time to relax and enjoy yourself.”
