Danielle, a Financial Advisor met Wes, an engineer, at a University of Texas Beta Theta Pi foam party. They made eye contact amongst hundreds of crazy college students, foam and beer; then talked for hours. After the party they made lunch plans, and the rest is history!
Years later, they were in a long distance relationship. Wes was working on an oil rig in Canada; Danielle was still in Texas. Determined to get a New Year’s kiss, she flew north to see him. Sitting on the sofa in his home, Wes told her he was starting 2013 off on the right foot, pulled out the ring he’d purchased months before and dropped to one knee. Danielle was shocked. Wes was stressed; neither remembers an official, “Yes.”
The couple tied the knot at Briscoe Manor in Richmond, Texas. Danielle wore a silk ivory Watters gown with a beaded belt. The vanilla 5-tiered cake was made to match the wedding gown with rosettes on the bottom tiers. Danielle and Wes drove away in a Rolls Royce, leaving their guests with Whataburger taquitos to-go. They then headed to the Maldives for a 9-night stay.
