Cristina, a digital content manager, and Dmitry, a process engineer, were both students at the University of Houston when they met one fateful day in the library. Instantly, they became friends. After a semester of getting to know each other, both began to realize that they were developing feelings for one another. One night, they kissed and their lives together, as a couple, began.
Dmitry, being Russian, had his mother play a classic Russian guitar for the ceremony and reception. Cristina, being from Mexico/Peru, had Mariachis play at the church ceremony. The cake, inspired by The Great Gatsby, was made by Cakes by Gina. Cristina and Dmitry honeymooned in magnificent Puerto Rico.

Don’t settle for anything ordinary. Try to customize your wedding with your own personality and the things you and your significant other love; because when you look back at the day, it’ll feel like your own. I know that I am personally happy that I took the time to find a venue and overall theme that spoke to my personality. It’s difficult and tedious, as a bride, to take the time to work on the details and to make the wedding unique to you and your interests. But, in the end, it’s so worth it!
