Ana Rivera and Jared Bozarth were married at the Co-Cathedral of the sacred Heart Catholic Church on July 27th, 2013. Ana is a neonatal ICU nurse and Jared is a field specialist for a major oil and gas company.
Ana and Jared met in college through mutual friends. Jared’s friend had been pursuing Ana, but Ana saw Jared and instantly fell in love. They kindled a friendship for several months, and then one night after a group date, Jared turned to Ana and said, “so, when do you want to get this show on the road?” and the show has been on ever since!
For the engagement, Jared took Ana to the Dallas arboretum. He had everything ready for a picnic with prepared sandwiches, Ana’s favorite chips, and wine. Ana and Jared sat in a beautiful spot under a tree. The birds chirped while they had great conversation. Then Jared reached into a bag beside him and said, “I have something else for you.” He took out the ring and said, “Will you marry me?”
Ana got light headed and dizzy; she was in shock and might have forgotten to answer… he asked, “is it a ‘yes’?” of course it was a Yes! Jared and Ana had dated for seven years and saved themselves for their sacred union.
Ana comes from a big Salvadoran family, and the bride and groom’s extended families didn’t meet until the big day. They held their rehearsal dinner at Ana’s parent’s house and served Salvadoran food. Jared’s family had their first taste of Salvadoran culture, and they loved it.
The Co-Cathedral of the sacred Heart Catholic Church was ideal for Ana because she always wanted to get married in a beautiful Catholic church. Ana fell in love with the Church’s ornate beauty. “we had to get married there,” Ana says.
Ana gown was from Pronovias of Spain; the specific gown was the Pergola. Their cake was extra special—a family friend made it. Scott Kelley was the photographer to capture their beautiful moments. Ana and Jared honeymooned on the island of Dominica. “The nature island.”
